If you programme training courses for your local VCS groups, we are happy to act as one of your freelance trainers and to be included in your training programmes.

Running your own courses – you can purchase some ready-made course outlines

We have developed a wide range of course outlines on a number of relevant VCS subjects suitable for half day or whole day courses. These include:

  • Managing Volunteers
  • Supervising Staff
  • Publicity and Marketing for Beginners
  • Writing a Business Plan
  • Committee Skills
  • Trustee Roles and Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety for Volunteers
  • Running Effective Meetings
  • Writing and Presenting Minutes
  • Dealing with Difficult Staff.

Each course outline includes:

  • Trainer notes
  • A suggested timetable
  • Background information for tutors
  • Handouts
  • Power point slides.

It means that with a reasonable level of personal knowledge, any of your trainers could pick up a course outline and run the course. The outlines are not supposed to be prescriptive but can provide trainers with a good starting point where they can blend our outlines with their own ideas.

Talk to us for a full list of course outlines and prices.

E-Learning Toolkits

As listed on our ‘E-Learning‘ page, we have developed, written and designed a wide range of e-learning courses and resources. Many of these could be displayed on your own website or used by your community development or group advisers in helping your local VCS organisations to develop and thrive.

If you would like to purchase these for your own website, we can rewrite these to include your logos and your local contacts so that they are tailor-made for your geographical area. Contact us for further details.

If you purchase either our e-learning toolkits or course outlines, we can come and visit you and run an introductory session (either half day or whole day) to show your trainers and / or group advisers how to get the best out of these resources.
